Ocean Diver

This entry level course provides you with the essential knowledge and skills you will need to dive safely and responsibly. You will be taught how to set up and use your kit, carry out safety drills and learn the art of buoyancy control progressing from the swimming pool to sheltered open water environments. This fundamental course is the first building block of your diver training.

Ocean Diver

Sports Diver

This course consolidates and develops your Ocean Diver skills through a series of structured open water lessons in which you will be expected to act as an Assistant Dive Manager and develop your skills in diver rescue, the use and deployment of a SMB/DSMB and a compass for navigation.

Dive Leader

As a Dive Leader you will be able to lead other divers on open water dives, this course gives you the confidence and ability to do so. You will explore the roles and responsibilities of a Dive Leader and develop your rescue management and rescue skills further. This course will enhance your enjoyment and experience as a diver.

Dive Leader

Advanced Diver

A further progression of the skill and experience you developed on your previous courses. On this course you will gain experience in planning and organising dives at different sites and under different conditions. You will also gain further experience in using small boats, chartwork and navigation. An Advanced Diver is Considered by the BSAC a fully trained diver.
